Clerihew

Part of my Poetry Challenge. A clerihew is a comic verse consisting of two couplets with the rhyming scheme AABB, usually about a person/character named within the first rhyme.

Poor little sub
Needs a gentle rub
The whip was so unkind
To his battered, bruised behind

  1. Bahaha! I just cackled a little bit at this. So poignant, yet so true! Well played. 🙂 And I’m definitely a lover of poetry, but I’d never known the proper name of that sort of rhyme before. So I got a laugh and I learned something new. You’re a winner!
